Payment Due

You pay, we’ll bake! Payment is required up front so that we can source your cute cutters, spectacular sprinkles, fabulous food colors and the perfect packaging.

Refunds

We can offer refunds up to 24 hours after the payment has been accepted, except in the case of last minute or rush orders (orders placed with notice of 1 week or less). If we have already started your order/ordered cookie cutters and supplies, refunds are not guaranteed and will be given on a case-by-case basis. For Cookie Classes, cancellation within 5 days of class will result in no refund unless your seat is filled. If you need to cancel, please contact us ASAP!

Cottage Food Laws

Northern Cookie Company is a home-based business and operates under the Michigan Cottage Food Law. State law requires us to let you know that we bake in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department. We can assure you that every possible care is taken to insure clean, sanitary conditions. Our kitchen is not nut-free, egg-free, dairy-free, or gluten-free.

Pick up/Delivery

Delivery and pick up date are set upon ordering to accommodate everyone's schedule so put it on your calendar. All orders are pick-up only in Cheboygan, MI. Delivery may be an option with an additional fee if you live within 15 miles of the pick-up location and make arrangements at the time of order.

Change Cutoff

Decisions are tough! But we’re here to help. Order changes can generally be made up until 10 days before your pick-up date. After that, all change requests will be under consideration and a small fee will apply. Please note this also applies to changes of pick-up date. In instances where your order may be ready early, we'll contact you with the option of an earlier, optional, pick-up day/time.

Inspiration

Thanks a ton for sending those inspiration pictures! They are just that – inspiring. Your cookies may not be perfect replicas, but we’ll try to keep it close.

In A Hurry?

While I can’t accommodate all last-minute orders, I will make my best effort to. Orders placed with a turnaround time of under 7 days will require a rush fee of $10. Orders with a turnaround time of under 5 days will require a rush fee of $15. The acceptance of last-minute or rush orders are dependent on calendar availability. **Ordering 3 weeks or more in advance is always preferred, so we may source supplies special to your order.

Price Adjustments

All prices are subject to change. Prices are often dictated by ingredient costs. We're always trying to provide the best tasting cookies to our clients. This also means that we can’t honor old pricing (because the grocery store won’t honor their old butter and flour prices).

Order Minimums

We require a minimum order of 1 dozen for standard to large cookies. Need fewer? Stay tuned for a seasonal sale or pop-up shop announcement on our Facebook or Instagram page!

Product Photography

Say Cheese!! We create replicas of client orders to photograph these pretty sweet lookin’ treats. If you do not want your cookies in the spotlight, please let us know at the time you place your order. Secrets are safe with us. We try to be conscious to post photos after your event date.

Copycats

Copyright images (think Star Wars, Avengers and Disney) are protected, and we won’t be able to replicate them baked as goods (who wants a cookie controversy, right?). We can make a similar color palette though, so let’s talk!

Bulk Order?

Due to the custom work required for each cookie, we are unable to extend discounts regardless of quantity. If you have a specific budget you are working with, feel free to let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to offer you a solution that fits your budget.

No Show = No Cookies

These cookies are best enjoyed fresh. Not showing up to the agreed upon pick up time forfeits your order. But take heart- we'll donate to a family in need. Need to reschedule your order? Please reach out at least 1 week prior to your pick up date.

It's All Yours Now!

Once you pick-up your order (thanks again, by the way!), what happens to your cookies and other treats, is all on you! Keep them safe, keep them cool, and keep them sitting flat.

Once you’ve submitted payment for your order, you’re accepting the above terms, and are confirmed for the agreed-upon date of pick-up or prearranged delivery.
